Kong: The 8th Wonder of the World is a new online slot by Playtech, released early in 2011, it is based on the hit 2005 King Kong movie.

This 5-reel slot has 20 paylines, wild symbols, two game modes, and four different bonus features (two per game mode).

King Kong is played in two different modes, Jungle Mode and Big City Mode. The symbols and background change, but the paytable remains the same in both modes. Two different bonus features can be triggered in each mode.

Jungle Mode

In Jungle Mode, when three or more wild symbols land on the reels, that triggers the Wild Jungle Respins Feature. You are awarded three free respins with additional wilds on the reels. Big City Mode

In Big City Mode, when three or more wild symbols land on the reels, the Wild Kong Respins Feature is triggered. You are again awarded three free respins. On the first respin all of reels 1 and 5 are wild, on the second respin all of reels 2 and 4 are wild, and on the third respin all of reels 1, 3, and 5 are wild. This feature cannot be re-triggered, and the City Tower Bonus can’t be triggered during the respin feature.

The City Tower Bonus is triggered when three or more scatter symbols land on the reels during a spin. You are taken to a screen showing the famous scene of King Kong on the top of the building being attacked by planes. Three times you are faced with three planes, pick one of those planes to take down and win a cash prize. Taking down three planes ends the bonus and starts Jungle Mode.

Pharaoh’s Secrets is a 5-reel slot found at Playtech online casinos. This slot features 20 paylines, wild symbols that can expand, free spins, and the Xtra Win feature.

Activating the Xtra Win Feature adds another 50% of your bet to the total bet, and turns the wild symbol into an expanding wild. To activate the feature, simply click on the icon to the top right of the reels, you must be playing all 20 paylines.

Without the Xtra Win feature activated, the wild symbol does not expand during regular spins, but it does expand during free spins. Scatter wins are paid based on the total bet, and line wins pay based on the line bet.

The Free Spins Feature is triggered when three or more scattered Pyramid symbols land on the reels during a spin. You are then given a choice of three symbols from the game. I always play this slot with the Xtra Win activated. Since the wild only appears on the middle three reels, having them expand makes the game a whole lot better a gives it better potential for big wins.

Pink Panther is a very unique slot by Playtech. It features 40 paylines, a wild symbol, progressive jackpots, and many randomly triggered bonus features.

The main bonus feature, which triggers more often than the others, is the Pink Pow feature. The Pink Panther, who is always standing beside the reels during play, pushes down on a detonator that blows up 2 – 6 of the symbols on the reels, and turns them wild. I’ve had quite a few nice hits from this feature.

My favorite feature is the Crack the Pink Code Bonus, where you are taken to a screen with 6 safes. Keep opening them until you find one with dynamite. You can be awarded free spins, multipliers, and/or an expanding wild on the middle reel. When you find the dynamite you are awarded another prize before the free spins start.

The Color Pink Bonus is another randomly triggered bonus round. The Pink Panther and the little man paint a wall of numbers, one paints pink and the other paints blue. The pink numbers add together to equal your bet multiplier that determines your prize. If you don’t like the result, you are given two more repaints to try for more.

Another feature is The Wheel of Pink Bonus, where the Pink Panther spins two wheels. The wheel on the outside represents the bet multiplier, and the inner wheel determines whether you will collect your prize or spin again. Each respin adds the multiplier to the total bet multiplier, determining your prize amount once collect is hit on a spin.

The Pink Trail Bonus has Inspector Clouseau following the Pink Panther’s footsteps for 4 rounds, looking for a stolen diamond. Each footstep adds a certain number to the total bet multiplier, and the number of steps taken each round is random. At the end of each round you have the choice to continue or collect your prize. If you continue, you run the risk of falling into a trap and halving the total multiplier. If you continue through all four rounds successfully, you find the stolen diamond and it doubles your total multiplier for a huge win.

The final bonus that is randomly triggered features two progressive jackpots. Like the other radom features, this one can be triggered by any spin with any bet size, but for this one a higher bet increases your chances of it being triggered. You are taken to a screen with 12 doors, open them to reveal characters. Finding 5 Pink Panthers wins the Major Pink Jackpot, 4 Inspector Clouseau characters wins the Minor Pink Jackpot, and 3 little man characters wins the consolation prize. Rome and Glory can be one of the best Playtech slots to play. It features 20 paylines, a wild symbol, and a free spin feature with a “mystery scatter”.

The wild symbol is also the scatter symbol that triggers free spins when three or more land on the reels during a spin. You are awarded 10 free spins with a randomly selected scatter symbol.

The scatter symbol is where the big wins come into play. Even having one of the lowest paying symbols selected as the mystery scatter can create some big wins, due to having a better chance of that symbol being scattered on all 5 reels.

My best win on this slot came from free spins with the lowest paying symbol as the mystery scatter. I was betting $1 per spin and hit 5 scatters a couple times for $100 each hit. Santa Surprise is a new Playtech slot that surprised me when I logged in to Casino.com today. I had recently looked for Christmas themed slots, since it’s that time of year, and couldn’t find any to play at Playtech casinos.

This festive slot features 20 paylines, a wild symbol, free spins, and the Christmas Gifts Bonus, a second screen bonus feature.

The Christmas Gifts Bonus is triggered when three or more bonus symbols line up left-to-right on an active payline. You are taken to a screen where you pick 3, 4, or 5 gifts depending on the amount of bonus symbols that lined up to trigger the feature. It seemed like there were plenty of those symbols on the reels because it triggered quite often.

I actually didn’t do too bad playing this slot today, and I don’t normally have the best of luck playing Playtech slots.
